|Today's hike was on the Bartram Trail in Rabun County, GA. We hiked from Sandy Ford Road for 4 miles to a point on the side of Willis Knob including the side trail out to Dicks Creek Falls and returned for a total of 8.5 miles.

TRAIL INFO. - This portion of the Bartram Trail is very nice with great woodland views along with awesome views of the Chattooga River, Warwoman Creek and Dicks Creek Falls. The trail is in excellent condition with recent trail maintenance work.
Directions: Take Warwoman Road from Highway 441 in Clayton, GA and drive 5.9 miles. Then, turn right on Sandy Ford Road and continue 0.6 miles to a concrete bridge. Turn left across the bridge and continue 3.3 miles and cross the ford over Dicks Creek and continue 0.3 miles to a parking area on the left.
Another great day for a hike! Cloudy to partly cloudy and breezy with temperatures ranging from the low 40's to the low 50's.
Hiking distance - 8.5 miles
Difficulty - Moderately easy with only a few hills.
WILDFLOWERS IN BLOOM: none
BIRDS IDENTIFIED: Pine Warbler, Carolina Chickadee, Pileated Woodpecker,Turkey Vulture, Red-Shouldered Hawk.
