Today's hike was on the Bartram Trail in Rabun County, GA from the Highway 28 bridge hiking southward toward Willis Knob. - 8+ miles total hike.
HIKERS: Phil Brownrigg, Stephen Gales, Greta Driggers, Jim Driggers, Pam Euliss, Bill Hunt, Mike Jones, Bob Magee, Dick Metzgar, Tony Presley, Vic Robson, Pom Sinnock, Carole Wintle and Jack Wintle.
TRAIL INFO. - This portion of the Bartram Trail is in extreme northeast Rabun County GA at the SC state line along the Chattooga River. We hiked southward towards Willis Knob for 4 miles and retuned for a mostly easy 8+ mile hike.
DIRECTIONS: FROM CLAYTON, GA TAKE WARWOMAN ROAD EASTWARD FOR 13 MILES TO HIGHWAY 28 AND BEAR RIGHT AND CONTINUE FOR 2 MILES TO THE PARKING LOT ON THE LEFT JUST BEFORE THE HWY 28 BRIDGE.
Another great day for a hike! Sunny and cool with temperatures ranging from the Upper 50's to the upper 60's F.
WILDFLOWERS IN BLOOM: Goldenrod, Blue Lobelia, Turtleheads, White Snakeroot, Blue Wood Aster, Joe Pye Weed, Coreopsis, Green Headed Coneflower and Black-eyed Susan. BIRDS IDENTIFIED: Crow, Pileated Woodpecker, Carolina Chic-a-dee, , Carolina Wren, Gold Finch, Belted Kingfisher.

We took a short hike off of the Bartram Trail down to Adeline Ford on the river for lunch.
